Summary

Be dazzled with colour as you walk through some of North Devon's finest landscapes, including National Trust land and the Clovelly Estate. A good walk through the woods for children, who will love the fascinating rocks on the beach and the old limekiln beside it. A great walk in spring, when cackling pheasants strut through woodland carpeted with bluebells and wild garlic and nesting seabirds squabble on the cliffs.

This walk is part of our "Summer Saunts". Use the walk (or part of it) to visit the hidden beach at Mouthmill.

Route Description

Be dazzled with colour as you walk through some of North Devon's finest landscapes, including National Trust land and the Clovelly Estate. The trail takes you through Culm grassland, woodland and heathland, all rich in plants and wildlife, with an opportunity to visit the charming village of Clovelly.

Nearby refreshments

No refreshments directly on route, but a selection available in Clovelly Village and at the nearby Visitor Centre, a short detour away on foot (but be warned, it is quite a steep climb back out of the Village).
