This magnificent stretch of coastline has no twentieth century intrusions detracting from the natural splendour of secluded coves and beaches. Slightly inland the soft rolling hills seperate the coast from farmland where the range of traditional farm buildings remind visitors of long association of mankind working the land. The sunken lane at Lansallos conjures up images of smugglers and wreckers hauling carts laden with contraband.
The National Trust have produced a leaflet for this walk giving directions, along with information on the geology and history of the area. It can be viewed and printed by clicking on the ‘Printer friendly page’ button on the right hand side, near the bottom of the page.
