AXMOUTH TO LYME REGIS FULLY OPEN AGAIN

A short section of the South West Coast Path at Pinhay that was closed is now fully re-opened and available to walkers at all times.

Work to remove the redundant water pumping station at this location has now been completed.

South West Water’s Principal Scientist Paul McNie said, “South West Water has worked in close partnership with Natural England to help return this remote part of the National Nature Reserve to its original unspoilt state”

Tom Sunderland, Site Manager for Natural England said, “We are extremely grateful to South West Water for carrying out this work, it represents a really significant improvement to the NNR. Removing the pumping station will improve the visitor experience and also benefit wildlife”.
