Cornwall: Duporth, near St Austell

Due to two landslips at Duporth, the Coast Path has been closed between GR 035 510 and GR 038 516,and a diversion has been set up. There is continued access to Crinnis Cliff Battery.

From Charlestown Harbour, head north up Charlestown Road for 120m. Turn left onto Duporth Road for 1km, taking special care along this road as there are no pavements. At the crossroads, turn left onto Porthpean Road. Follow this road for 300m. Turn left onto Porthpean Beach Road, and drop down the hill for 500m. When the road bends sharply to the right, continue straight ahead down a narrow walled pathway to re-join the Coast Path. Please reverse these directions if you are walking from the Porthpean end.
