Media and Press Information
Journalists
If you are producing an article about any aspect of the Coast Path, we are keen to help and hopefully make your job easier.
We want to ensure the news gets out that there are walks along South West Coast Path that can be enjoyed by people no matter what their interest or level of fitness – from a short stroll out to a stunning viewpoint to the challenge of completing the entire 630 miles.
As you can see from this website, whether it’s wildlife along the coast or literary trails that follow in the footsteps of your favourite author, we have a huge variety of themed walks to choose from. as well as varying levels of difficulty – from easy-going walks that are suitable for wheelchair users to more demanding, strenuous walks on uneven ground.
To help your quest for information, we can provide you with ready written content, images, facts and figures, and set up interviews with local experts on subjects ranging from maritime history to geology. We are also working closely with tourism bodies and PR agencies, and so are able to help facilitate selected media visits.
As background, please download our editorial guidelines, which provide key facts and figures about the path with some generic copy that's free to use.
If you would like to find out more or have any queries at all, please contact our Communications and Project Officer, Alex Green or call her on 01392 382683.
Our Image Library

As you can see from this website, we have thousands of high quality photographs covering almost the entire South West Coast Path. Our photo library is organised and managed by Allan Ginman, the team’s Administrative Support Officer.
As well as on this site, most of the photos can also be viewed on the South West Coast Path Flickr pages, where to make it easier to search, they have been organised into collections either covering specific sections along the coast path or by themes such as wildlife, heritage, landscape or people.
We are happy to supply high resolution versions of these images for use by third parties, providing:
- the photographer is credited,
- the accompanying article or the image caption is directly linked to the South West Coast Path.
To request to use any of these pictures please contact Allan by email or call 01392 383560.
